There was also a khanate of Sibir

[edit]

There was also a khanate of Sibir - perhaps there should be a history of it?

When did they re-locate their CHQ from Novosibirsk to Moscow? —Preceding unsigned comment added by DanaMedic (talkcontribs) 02:34, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Saftey record"

[edit]

I have removed the following unqualified, uncited claim:

"S7 has the worst safety record of all Russian airlines."

This has been removed by other editors before. Such a claim leaves WP open to liability to defamation suits, and cannot remain as written wtihout specific sources to back up the claim. For one, 2 of the 3 "accidents" had nothing to do with "safety" at all: one aircraft was shot down by a SAN, and the other was hijacked. The former incident was evideltly not the airlines fault in any way, and the latter regards security, which is generally the responsibility of an airport or government agency, not the individual airlines. Second, there is no time frame given for this saftey record, so one could assum this means in teh histoty of Soviet/Russian airlines. Three. the term "safety record" is defined; in the airline industry, it can include much more than just crashes, as many other factors make an airline unsafe. Please stop adding claims regarding Ukrainian missile

[edit]

Ladies and gentlemen, I would ask anyone to refrain from adding unsourced propaganda claims about a Ukrainian missile hitting the Tupolev. Such claims have been repetitiously dismissed in both the courts and the diplomatic statements. Thank you, 93.75.164.119 (talk) 01:28, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Etymology

[edit]

I think it would be helpful to know where the S7 name came from: I do not know if it came from the IATA code, S Club 7, or something else. --Minoa (talk) 16:48, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
