Director -> Special Agent in Charge
[edit]look at Jack's profile at the official 24 website(http://www.fox.com/24/profiles/), it states: "Former Special Agent in Charge", not Director of CTU. This includes George Mason, Jack Bauer, Tony Almeida and the others who held the position.
Are you sure Chappelle has 2 daughters and a wife? In the episode where he gets executed by Bauer, Jack asks him if he has anything he wants to say to anyone, and Chappelle only mentions his brother that he never talks to.

In season 1 Palmer (then Senator) went over Chappelle's head by contacting someone at the Pentagon. That person then called Chappelle to give him his orders.
Day 1 and Day 2

Merger
[edit]Oppose: I oppose this merger. He was in the first three seasons (the first trilogy) and the video game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.184.83.137 (talk) 00:43, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
I also oppose this merger. Ryan Chappelle was a MAJOR character in first three seasons, and he had a major impact on the show. A character doesn't have to be currently in the series to be considered a major character. What counts is the fact that Ryan Chappelle appeared in the first three seasons and had a major impact on the show, as well as having a major impact on Jack. I'm getting sick to death of all these unnecessary mergers. They are pointless and meddlesome. Angelriver 15:33, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
KEEP this article as it is. Ryan Chappelle played a major role in Seasons 1-3 and his departure during Season 3 is considered one of the most powerful on the show, perhaps only second to Teri’s death at the end of Season 1. --MiB-24 17:46, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Considered 'one of the most powerful' by whom? I think that comment is both original research and not a neutral point of view. Let's keep to solid arguments and not our own opinions. asyndeton talk 19:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
KEEP per arguments above. --T smitts 18:42, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Keep per arguments above. True, he didn't appear in many episodes, but he got the silent clock, and he was a major character whose death was of major importance.Lan Di (talk) 16:48, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
KEEP per arguments above. --208.180.22.12 (talk) 19:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
KEEP per reasons above. His death was of enormous significance.Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 14:09, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

I just added 4 references. Let's see how long until someone attempts to torpedo them. --MiB-24 (talk) 03:01, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
