Datapanic In The Year Zero
[edit]This was an EP released around 1978 and not listed in the Discography section. It contained Heart of Darkness, 30 Seconds Over Tokyo, Cloud 149 and Untitled. It was 33-1/3 RPM on one side and 45 on the other. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Datapanic (talk • contribs) 04:39, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
Tom Herman article
[edit]I don't think the Tom Herman article should be merged with Pere Ubu because The Herman article is a biography, where as Pere Ubu is a band article. It would be strange to have, "Tom Herman was born in Utah America, in 1712" as the starting line. So I object. Spawn Man 06:17, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
I have to agree. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masegian (talk • contribs) 05:59, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
"experimental"
[edit]I removed the claim that Pere Ubu is an "experimental" rock music group. The band doesn't experiment. See some FAQ on their website. Quote: "We know what we're doing. We don't need to experiment." Also here: "Look at things from our perspective. We don't think what we do is experimental and spare. We don't sit around and wonder how we can make this or that idea sound different or odd or unusual. It all sounds pretty normal to us." --Keth 06:53, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Quotes.
[edit]I removed the following two unreferenced "quotes" and bring them here for discussion:
- "The Sex Pistols sang "No Future", but there is a future and we're trying to build one." -Allen Ravenstine[citation needed]
- "We, as a musical collective are a shower of tossers, when i look back on our career there are times that would have been better spent if i had kept my fat mouth shut". -David Thomas[citation needed]
In my opinion, any unreferenced item should be cut, and quotes should be integrated into the text of the article, no set apart as a separate section. If they cannot be referenced and integrated, then I doubt they are that important. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 18:20, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:UbuXerox.jpg
[edit]Image:UbuXerox.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Images
[edit]I don't have an image of the band, but there are numerous images of David Thomas in Commons:Category:David Thomas (musician). I leave it to someone else to decide if any of these would be an appropriate addition to the article. - Jmabel | Talk 23:34, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Timeline (October 2019)
[edit]The Ubu Projex website has updated the current band members as of 2019, see: http://www.ubuprojex.com/reference.html
I do not have the Wiki skillz to update the Timeline, so would appreciate it if someone more adept than me could do so. I have updated the listings in the top info box and current/former member sections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gnhn (talk • contribs) 13:54, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
