Thank you, CCPGIM406 (talk) 15:44, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CCPGIM406, all updated except the last part. Keep promotional parts away from the article where possible. -Imcdc (talk) 04:42, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Imcdc:, thanks for your help! Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I understood that factual, well-sourced information would be appropriate to include, even if it were positive and potentially "promotional"?
I have a few other additions to propose, and am posting them below as a new edit request. If you're willing to take a look at these as well, I would really appreciate it. Thanks again for your help thus far, CCPGIM406 (talk) 19:39, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request 2

[edit]

Hi, I work for PGIM and have some additional suggested edits for the article. Due to my COI, I again turn to the general community for help:

  • After "PGIM Global Partners", please add a new "Quantitative research" section with the following content:

In 2016, Bruce D. Phelps was appointed Head of Research for PGIM’s Institutional Advisory & Solutions (IAS) group.[1]

In 2020, the IAS group, in partnership with Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC, developed an asset allocation framework to help investors assess the impact of private assets on portfolio liquidity.[2]

  • At the end of the "Rebranding" section, please add the following sentence:

In 2020, PGIM launched the “OUTPerformance” brand campaign.[3] In November of the same year, Peregrine’s Global 100 Report ranked PGIM as the #6 best asset manager in the world for its integrated marketing and communications activities.[4][5]

  • At the end of the "Sustainability" section, please add the following two new paragraphs:

In 2019, Prudential was included in Fortune’s Change the World Sustainability All Stars list.[6]

In 2021, PGIM Real Estate committed to reduce the operational carbon emissions of its global portfolio of managed properties to net zero by 2050.[7]

  • Please add the following new "Diversity and inclusion" section to the end of the article (after the existing "Sustainability" section):

In 2016, PGIM hired Cathy Verhoff as its first Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer. In 2018, Kathy Sayko assumed the role.[8][9] In 2020, PGIM was recognized by Citywire Selector with a Gender Diversity Award for the most improved gender diversity.[10] In December 2020, PGIM was ranked third in Pensions and Investments Best Places to Work in Money Management.[11]

Not done -Imcdc (talk) 09:24, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CCPGIM406. I will let the community decide if they feel these can be added. But from my point of view its unlikely. The wiki article is supposed to be a neutral encyclopedia that's supposed to let viewers know about the basic facts of the company (I have removed subsidiary executives since most are not notable and in general we only mention the highest level ones) and its operations. Most of these points don't seem to add on anything significant to understanding the firm except acting as promotional points. -Imcdc (talk) 01:57, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Imcdc: thank you for your thoughtful response. Regarding the awards/rankings (in both the first and second request), the (now removed) executives and general history in my second request- in your opinion, is this an issue of the language being too promotional, or of information which should not be included at all? My understanding was that factual information backed by third-party sources is likely appropriate for inclusion, but if there is information that should be removed, or changes you'd suggest to the language, I am happy to work on improving this. In the meantime, I await further involvement from the community. Thanks again for your assistance. CCPGIM406 (talk) 19:19, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Imcdc: Hi. Have these requests been answered? PK650 (talk) 21:55, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@PK650: Hi. I have answered the requests that I think are viable. I refuse to do the rest as I consider them promotional or unsuitable for a Wikipedia article. If someone else wants to clear them then by all means. -Imcdc (talk) 01:38, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Imcdc: Thank you for getting back to me. Could you maybe highlight which bits have been addressed by you so I can finish this request and clear the template from the queue? Appreciated, PK650 (talk) 09:01, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@PK650: Updated
 Not done: Only added the net zero carbon bit, as the rest is non-notable. PK650 (talk) 22:41, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
