  • ALT1 ... that Natacha Aguilar de Soto confirmed the presence of True's beaked whales (pictured) in the first known recording of them swimming underwater?Source: Daley, Jason (March 8, 2017). "See the First Video of One of the World's Rarest Whales". Smithsonian Magazine.Text from source: "One of the most elusive of the animals is the True’s beaked whale. But researchers report that the first recorded video of the whales swimming underwater is giving them invaluable insight ... [recorded] in 2013 ... De Soto later confirmed that the footage was of True’s beaked whales, releasing the video along with other data on the species"

Comment: I have proposed a second ALT and image; each image is specific to a particular DYK hook. The image of the rare True's beaked whale is a frame from the video mentioned in the ALT1 hook. Both are used in the article.

Substantial biography, well sourced, subscription sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. I prefer the ALT because the licensed image is more closely related. Please put pictured in. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:38, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
