Merge with Fanta

[edit]

I support merging the two articles. If he had accomplished more or was notable for more than creating Fanta then perhaps he would deserve a larger and more expansive independant article. --Sand Squid 17:59, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But of course it dosnt matter. No action will be taken because Wikipedia admins are more interested in deleting articles than improveing them. This article has existed for almost three years and it has flown under the radar while other articles are deleted within two weeks of their creation while they are still being improved. I wonder why User: Janejellyroll or User: Chick Bowen have not deleted this one? Probably because no-one is working on it, therefore it won't garner them any attention.--Sand Squid 03:50, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He is worth his own article, a very notable man. While you have a point that there is a lot of overlap with the creation of Fanta, the rest of the information about him doesn't belong in the Fanta article. So, I don't think a merge is appropriate. I stand by my previous recommendation in favor of the merge. If he has accomplished more then article should be expanded. But as it stands, Fanta is his only accomplishment listed, therefore the article should be merged.--Sand Squid 22:49, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Running Cocacola in Nazi Germany was more than just inventing Fanta. If you can get your hands on a copy of Mark Pendergrast's book "For God, Country and Coca-cola" you'll see that he devotes an entire chapter to it. Otherwise, a google search will give you a feel for some of the impact Keith had. You are right that the article should be expanded. But being a stub isn't grounds for deletion. Ok let me see... I'm just looking through my comments for the part where I advocate deletion... hmm... I don't see it. Because I did not advocate deletion. I support merging it with the Fanta article. I think it is great, fantastic even that Mark Pendergrast's book "For God, Country and Coca-cola" devotes an entire chapter to him. However, the article as it stands now does not contain enough information to support a separate article. I do not think it is appropriate to judge this article based on information in an outside source that is not referenced or cited.--Sand Squid 03:06, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lets not merge these articles. This man was very notable and he should get his own article. If someone searches for him should they be redirected to a article about Fanta? No. YaanchSpeak! 01:36, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did he or didn't he?

[edit]

Either he joined or he didn't. The article says both!
