If Kushiel's Dart (mote) is going to be merged with anything, it should probably go to anguissette, not Kushiel's Legacy. If every detail this size goes to Kushiel's Legacy, that article will become far, far too large, but it's certainly a great enough thematic element in the novels to warrant mentioning. Alyx Bradford 03:53, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fully agree with this. Please go to the anguissette page to help edit the merger into a smoother article. The question now is how we delete the excess article? Bleach Babe 23:38, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good job on the merge, guys. Now the page doesn't even explain what anguissette stands for. 154.20.115.35 06:51, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Likewise, if L'Agnace were going to be merged, it would be better put to Terre d'Ange or Places in Kushiel's Legacy, not into Kushiel's Legacy itself. I think, though, that there's enough information to warrant its own article -- or at least there will be. I'm still in the process of working my way through the series (I've only completed one of three books so far), and a fourth book is coming out in June, that may well have additional information.Alyx Bradford 03:57, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm working on this. I'm trying to merge all of the places articles together. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. =)Bleach Babe 23:38, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are several stubs to the Kushiel's Legacy article that need to be combined together in this article. I know that most are afraid of making this article too big, but I think that it would be better for the article to be a bit big rather than to have too many small stubs. It would make it much easier to navigate and to find information on the series. Bleach Babe 00:20, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, such things as l'Agnace, or Kushiel's dart as a mark of Kushiel are details in a not so major series of works... (yet), it ought to be merged in the Kushiel legacy article... I'm not even sure "anguissette" deserves its own page.--Svartalf 15:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd agree there needs to be more centralization, but I think more than one article is called for. Remember Wikipedia is not paper. I think anguissette is a good article - it's something someone trying to learn more about the book might look up independently (especially if they thought it might have a historical precident. Blade 22:49, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
While it's true that Wikipedia is not a paper encyclopedia, it is also not an indiscriminate source of information. Referring to WP:FICTION, it looks like some of the Kushiel-related articles may be pushing the notability guidelines? I would suggest adding more out-of-universe context to the articles and sourcing them because there's a chance they might get labelled as WP:Fancruft. -- 9muses 20:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re-org?

[edit]

Hey there. I was looking around and people are talking about re-organizing things. Does anyone mind if I take a whack at it? I have some ideas:

  • Create a navigation template, like Template:Myst_franchise
  • All of the places should be merged into Places in Kushiel's Legacy, as previously mentioned. Maybe have a separate article for Terre D'Ange only.
  • Elua should be moved to a new article, Elua and His Companions (with a redirect from Elua), and all of the companions should be merged into this. Love as thou wilt should be merged into this.
  • All of the Houses should be merged into the Court of Night-Blooming Flowers
  • List of Kushiel's Legacy characters and Minor Characters in Kushiel's Legacy should be merged at least cross referenced.
  • A new article called something like Organizations in Kushiel's Legacy or Groups in Kushiel's Legacy should be made. Articles like the Stregazza Family, Yeshuites, Servants of Naaamah, Phèdre's Boys should be merged in here.
  • Maybe a Significant Events in Kushiel's Legacy and merge in the various battles, the Bitterest Winter and the Midwinter Masque articles into it?
  • I'd still leave anguissette as separate and merge in Kushiel's Dart (mote)

Hows that sound? Blade 03:07, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since I've heard no one say no, I'm going to be bold and follow through. Blade 15:08, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trilogy of five?

[edit]

Why is the series labelled as a "trilogy" in the opening paragraph when there are five books listed? SpectrumDT 19:24, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's two successive trilogies, one with Phedre as the central character, and one with Imriel as the central character. -Semisomna 22:34, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No Imriel page?

[edit]

I'm just curious but why does Imriel not have a character page of his own? He most certainly qualifies as a main character: the latter three books are based on his travels, much like Phredes. -- 24.77.65.118 (talk) 23:11, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A page for Roland-Delaunay relationship

[edit]

Given that the short story "You and You Alone" is out, a page for the rocky romance of Delaunay and Rolande would be warranted and likely useful. It could be incorporated on another page but none seem appropriate (the House Courcel page is a reference listing of the family members in all books, not a summary of the stories of the individuals). There used to be a page dedicated to this that has since been deleted, however, there are still several references to it that are now broken links or come back to this page. Coming back to this page seems very unclear as a reader would have to know that their romance in "You and You Alone" to understand, defeating the purpose of such citiations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.211.133.130 (talk) 17:39, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Many links on this page self-reference - this needs to be fixed. 74.191.67.11 (talk) 21:09, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for the above is that the links were formerly separate articles, but some idiot(s) deleted the articles and replaced them with redirects to the main article without adding their content to the main article and removing the links. This sort of thing is a widespread, recurring problem on Wikipedia. ZFT (talk) 04:39, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What needs improvement?

[edit]

Hi, This was listed as a 5 - 10 minute easy editing task, but I am not sure why? What needs to be done? Thanks for educating me. I greatly appreciate it. LoveElectronicLiterature (talk) 02:04, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
