Date of death
[edit]What is the date of Konstantios Doukas' death? 1081 is mentioned in several places and 1082 elsewhere. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:03, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Apologies, I have corrected it. The issue came out of Canduci giving the wrong date. When asked to add more details to the Norman Campaign I found a more related source giving his death as during the Battle of Dyrrhachium (1081), and describing it in some detail. Because of this, I changed the dates to 1081, but missed some places, which have now been corrected. -- Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 23:46, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- That's better. I was looking at the article while checking up on WikiCup submissions and I was glad to see that the GA reviewer who missed the error was not a WikiCup competitor! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:31, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Co-emperors
[edit]Can you list the co-emperors in the infobox he ruled with like in other articles?KAVEBEAR (talk) 06:01, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Constantius IV / Konstantios IV
[edit]Do any historians ever refer to him as in the title? Also what's with the letter kay, since the Constantine emperors are not usually referred to as Konstantine, even when they are Greek speaking, ruling from Constantinople (not Konstantinople!). Middle More Rider (talk) 19:20, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
- Accurately speaking he was Constantius IV, yes, but despite being senior emperor for a short while he is commonly regarded as a co-emperor and thus most commonly not enumerated. I haven't found a source that calls him Constantius IV. Ichthyovenator (talk) 09:39, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
