Album

[edit]

Any talk of a new album coming out? 71.126.8.179 (talk) 00:22, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Christian faith

[edit]

This band is apparently a Christian band. As if their name wasn't appealing enough in regards to this factor; they have stated via their Twitter account that they are a Christian group, but keep it under wraps more than any other band within this belief. As far as Wikipedia goes; the same rules still apply as keeping acknowledgment between a Christian band and Christians in a band. GunMetal Angel 07:16, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There have been many debates about this band, actually. Personally they are my favorite band in existence, and i would love nothing more to hear them say that they are christian. However, on their facebook and myspace account pages they state that they are non-religious.
According to their song lyrics of the earlier release albums (EP-Voyage and Your World On Fire), one could look at them and assume that they are christian. But a couple of things point to another conclusion.
One or two of their T-Shirts that have their name on them and they sell have things such as Ram Skulls and upside down crosses, which are extremely satanic symbols. I am unsure, however, if the shirts are designed by them or designed by their marketing staff/record labels for selling/marketing purposes. Unfortunately the masses love to see skulls and things like that, it sells the most T-Shirts.
Whether or not this means anything to the band themselves is yet to be spoken about to the public. I believe personally that a couple of the members are christian and others are not, so they balance back and forth to amass the most amount of fans, instead of losing Atheistic listeners or Christian listeners who stay true to their faiths and will not listen to anything god-worshiping or satan upholding. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.200.200.250 (talk) 00:13, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Demo

[edit]

With some researching of their demo, I have some of the answers that would be needed to be required to be forward about this release. But what I don't have is what year it was released (I know it's either 2006 or 2007). The information I have on it so far is that it was recorded with their original vocalist, Jarred DeArmas and former keyboardist, Michael Guy plays on it along with Davey Owens on rhythm guitar. I know that the demo is self-titled and here is the track listing for it as follows.

  1. Live Heart Die (demo version of "Live Love Die)
  2. There Be Pirates Among These Seas
  3. No Chance of Walking Away Without a Scratch
  4. Bite the Bullet (demo version of "Silence Is Screaming")

The songs can be found on media-sharing websites, but as for streaming, I could only get ahold of "Live Heart Die" and "Bite the Bullet" via YouTube. Also, if anyone is confused upon how they found a demo version of "The End", but it's not on this release, it's simple. The demo version of "The End" was recorded in 2008 and was a pre-production track, only recorded to sample Your World on Fire to listeners before its release. • GunMetal Angel 10:14, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also note, according to their original keyboardist, the demo never had a physical release, it was all a stream/download, but did have artwork. GunMetal Angel 01:31, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cody Anderson's departure

[edit]

Well Anderson's leaving was yesterday (December 5, 2010) and the news for it just broke-ice today. His reason is not explained any more upon what he stated on his Facebook status the day he decided to officially leave the band. So my main reason for this announcement is to keep up more on what the band have to say if they wish to break their silence or if Anderson himself will tend to throw out some more information for why it happened other than just saying "I will not tell you why because its none of your business", which is odd because if you're saying to your fans that you left the band aren't you making it their business? Well anyway in his post it sounded more like to me that he was generally more upset about the situation so he bottled up his feelings about it and went out to just inform everyone rather than details. I really do hope there's more on this later. As for his replacement; Bryan Zimmerman may be taking his place permanently in the band, well as far as my perdiction goes at least. • GunMetal Angel 04:17, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New members?

[edit]

Aparently there's been a few rumors of 2 new members for the band, such as Bradon Mullins are the group's new unclean vocalist and Sean Bell as the groups new rhythm guitarist. These two were both touring members for the band at the end of last year, and I spoke to Ramin Niroomand personally and he stated that they are "95% sure" that they will not be adding a second vocalist but just sticking with Barnes providing both sung and screamed vocals instead of their dual vocalists that they have employed for the past few years. As for Sean Bell, I did contact him on Twitter at the time of November/December and all he told me was he's substituing for Slifka, but there was no word on him replacing Slifka and I honestly don't see why the band would make that decision. All in all, this is just rumors. The band has not made any states as to member changes, and I personally hope they stick to what they have right now. • GunMetal Angel 14:01, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty odd

[edit]

Are we sure that this band has two bass players just like how the page currently states? This seems pretty odd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.252.83.245 (talk) 12:57, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Their own Facebook page (apparently run by Jarrad) states that to be the case Crisis.EXE 22:53, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
