POV

[edit]

The entire article seems riddled with unsourced POV statements, such as "the greatest bullfighter" and "the best poem". --Cryptic C62 · Talk 22:56, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This comment was not written by a Spaniard, I take it. The article is a translation of the Spanish Wikipedia article, which is thus its source and general reference. I have added a number of other references as well. --Rbraunwa 01:52, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I removed two of the references. I couldn't think of a more counterproductive plan than to have one language version of an article cite another, plus I would never cite wikipedia anyway. I also removed the poetry. It's absurd to consider poetry a reliable source. I wouldn't cite "Hickory dickory dock, the mouse ran up the clock" as a source regarding the agility of mice, and it doesn't make any more sense here. Britannica isn't really an authoritative source on anything either, but it's okay for now. --Cryptic C62 · Talk 03:21, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No continuity

[edit]

For example the chapter where it is about his return to bullfighting and death, it begins with his love affair then cuts randomly to the bullfight, then out of the blue it somehow mentions that he bought lottery tickets for the first time in his life(?!?). Llanto

[edit]

I note that llanto is translated as weeping. Perhaps this is a modern interpretation, but I much prefer Lament. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 11:48, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
