Displacement

[edit]

Would an editor please add both displacements: 'docked down' and 'normal seagoing condition'? Thanks, 95.144.76.99 (talk) 12:59, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Refit

[edit]

These two extracts seem to be contradictory:
'Operational history', para 3: "Albion underwent a refit in early 2006".
'Operational history', para 7: "Arriving in late 2008, HMS Albion undertook her first refit period".

One of these statements has to be wrong, but which one?

Hi, not necessarily. Ships may have a variety of refits - from very minor to massively major. So you could have two in a short period. But the Albion class are designed to have a five yearly Docking Period (DP) - including dry docking to allow repainting of the hull. This is what Albion undertook in 2008-9. In that case could the article be more clearly worded? Its not too clear as it is. RASAM (talk) 22:59, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes indeed - please do. 95.144.79.247 (talk) 14:26, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would - if I knew where to find the relevant information, I'm no expert on ships. RASAM (talk) 15:46, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately service personnel are forbidden from editing such articles. 95.144.76.242 (talk) 21:25, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Weapons Upgrade GAM-B01

[edit]

Does anyone have any updates on the planned change from the GAM-B01 (20mm) mount to another mount type - assumed to be MSI DS30 or similar? I understand the Royal Navy plans to take all GAM-B01 mounts out of service by March/April 2023. Sjhedger (talk) 11:57, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
