Spectral type data lacks clarity
[edit]Is the G-type giant star Ab or B? This is not made clear in the article. AnyOldBiscuit (talk) 16:54, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- This is explained in the body of the article. Lithopsian (talk) 18:59, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- Not clearly. I'll assume that the G-type giant is Eta Gem B, and the other one is Ab. Still a confusing system because - why would an M bright giant of ~6 solar masses live long enough to see its companions of ~2 and ~1 solar masses evolve into giants? None of this adds up. - Seems like you understand quite well. You just don't like the answer, not the same thing at all. Find better information, put it in the article. Don't make stuff up, just express what can be supported from reliable references. Or just explain what is already in the article better. Good luck, I didn't find much except that even the existence of the spectroscopic companion is dubious. Lithopsian (talk) 20:35, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- I made some minor changes to improve clarity, and acknowledged the mass discrepancy. Thanks for your research efforts. AnyOldBiscuit (talk) 20:03, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
