Movie

[edit]

What about the movie, Lotus Lantern? --Ho Yan Chan

Comic Section

[edit]

I got rid of the comic info. It belongs in the Manhua article page. The info here should be strictly animation related. You can see Old Master Q and all the other famous comics from China/Hong Kong are already there. Benjwong 06:54, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Organizing the List

[edit]

The list of chinese films and animations need to be on a separate wikipedia article. I think people are interested, but it has to be much more organized than "Incomplete list of recent notable Chinese animated shorts/series completed/in-progress". For the time being, the list is ok. It should eventually follow a format like Notable anime movies listed by year. Benjwong 07:58, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Xiao Xiao screenshot.png

[edit]

Image:Xiao Xiao screenshot.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Chinese animation. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Critique problems

[edit]

Hi everyone, I am a student editing on Wikipedia for the first time. I thought the information here is a little bit old for introducing Chinese Anime, it needs to update some new popular anime in China.--CandiceC (talk) 20:18, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Should we migrate this page under the "Donghua" namespace ?

[edit]

Hi guys, I've noticed there are already articles like "Manhua", "Banhua","Lianhuanhua" on the English wikipedia. It would be neat if this article about Donghua is actually under the "Donghua" tag in the same naming style. Sorry if I've caused any trouble, since I'm just a newbie here. Thx. −−Aceus0shrifter (talk) 06:19, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 5 January 2019

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: not moved to the proposed title at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 07:36, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese animationDonghua (animation) – I have seen Chinese animation referred to as donghua more often on websites. Even the subreddit for Chinese animation does the same which is very active. There are more Chinese animated shows and movies that are being made and more people on different sites and YouTube are referring to it as donghua just like they refer to Chinese comics as manhua. I feel like the term has become well known and notable to change the page name to donghua. AquilaXIII (talk) 07:29, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It never will. https://www.google.com/search?tbm=bks&q=Chinese%20animation return result for English book about the topic, but https://www.google.com/search?tbm=bks&q=Donghua did not. Matthew hk (talk) 23:09, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
