It would be nice if somebody would add more on the history and campuses, and took some nice pictures to add to the article. I am not convinced that this long list of every programme available at Chalmers is really useful. u p p l a n d 07:59, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I can take some pictures, though this time of the year there'll be more rain than than buildings visible :-)
Regarding the list... the latest expansion makes it a bit misleading. The former list contained the "civilingenjör" programmes, whereas the added ones are the "international master's programmes" and specializations for the "civilingenjör" programmes. Fredrik | tc 11:33, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That would be good. Maybe you can wait for a nice sunny day with some snow on the ground, if such days occur in Gothenburg. :) Some pictures of people in teknologmössor would also be nice for the student cap article. As for the programmes, reducing it at the very least to the CI programmes would be preferrable, but I think even that is excessive. An encyclopedia article isn't a brochure. I would rather like to see a few paragraphs focusing on describing the in any way particularly important programmes, and the most noteworthy research going on at Chalmers. And, again, more history. u p p l a n d 12:31, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Iranian students barred from Chalmers.

[edit]

I was just wondering if this is worth mentioning that Chalmers and KTH have decided to bar Iranian and North Korean students from attending? Norum (talk) 01:26, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, they haven't. They decided to ban them from the master program in Nuclear Engineering due to the common suspision that Iran and North Korea are trying to develop nuclear weapons. 212.105.80.202 (talk) 16:50, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Private university"?

[edit]

Can Chalmers really be considered a "private university"? Although the university is owned by a foundation, the foundation itself is controlled by the government of Sweden which, according to the regulations of the Chalmers foundation, appoints a majority of the board members. Government funding also accounts for two thirds of the revenue. /194.103.205.27 (talk) 07:26, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just nuanced the statement so it both expresses that it's incorporated as a private institution, but is still mostly controlled by the government. Vklj (talk) 10:26, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Affiliations

[edit]

According to T.I.M.E. Association Membership List Chalmers is no longer affiliated with T.I.M.E. I assume that it's correct to remove that affiliation. --Emilhem (talk) 10:52, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
