First proposal: Cancor, Count in Oberrhein. I can not find any reference to Cancor as a Count of Hesbaye in secondary sources, nor primary records. His connection there is based on various uncertain hypotheses, and instead he is associated with the Upper Rhine area or Oberrhein. I also see no sign that there was one single count of that whole pagus, and so the scholarly convention for this period is to say "Count in" instead of Count of".--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 20:40, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not Oberrhein. I've just moved it to Cancor, the original title. (I first edited this page in 2007... It had a "possibly" then.) Srnec (talk) 23:43, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
