Engines

[edit]

I noticed that all model years of the 3.0i were assigned the M54 in the engines table. I knew this to be wrong, so I dug deeper at realoem.com. Unfortunately, the site is organized by production date, not model year, so some interpretation was needed. I will update the tables with my findings. Basically, beginning in 2006, the N52 was used in both the i and si levels, the different horsepower ratings were due to different exhaust and intake implementations, as well as different ECU tunes. There's also a correction needed in the gearbox table. My 2006 2.5si z4 has a six speed manual gearbox. That's worthwhile correction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.192.248.188 (talk) 23:49, 12 October 2018 (UTC) It's time to add the N52 engin to the blanket (and false by omission) The Z4 is powered by the M54... The N52 was present from 2006. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.192.248.188 (talk) 23:56, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Specifications

[edit]

I'm going to overhaul the Body Styles table to contain some more specifications that should be useful for people considering purchase of an E85: curb weights and 0-100kph times; this is useful for cross shopping competing makes. When I was shopping, this was useful info, along with hp and torque, but it was hard to find all the info in one location to make apples to apples comparisons. I hope at least some people will find this info compiled in one place useful.

I'm also going to add to the US models list that's below the table, some models were missing.
