Removed a phrase

[edit]

"Luthor decides to create a synthetic Kryptonite and putters about obtaining the necessary ingredients: plutonium, radium and the undefined 'etc.'(in order to keep viewers from trying this at home.)"

Removed "in order to ... etc." because it's not as if plutonium and radium can be mail-ordered from Edmund Scientific (or anywhere else.) ChrisWinter 19:16, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

'Followed by'

[edit]

"Superman and the Mole Men" should be added to 'followed by' because it's sequel to serials with Alyn. Alyn didn't appeare in this production because he want too much money for play in this movie. And that's why they also change actress who played Lois Lane. New cast & crew but this is still a SEQUEL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Szopman (talkcontribs) 13:27, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's no source to support your statements. We can't just take your word for it.-5- (talk) 14:14, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb is not reliable since its information is user-contributed.-5- (talk) 07:55, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
IMDB is every bit as reliable as Wikipedia - and I admit that ain't saying much. Anyway, "Superman and the Mole Men" was a feature film, not a serial. I don't believe it was a sequel to this one since it started from the very beginning of the Superman story. It starred George Reeves in the title role, and much of it was later used on the TV series.67.237.189.239 (talk) 20:09, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A slight anachronism in this article....

[edit]

At the time this serial was released, I'm pretty sure "Lex Luthor" was known only as "Luthor." I don't believe he became "Lex Luthor" until the 1960's. Check it out for yourself and see if I'm correct. It's just a small thing but, in my opinion, an interesting bit of trivia in the evolution of the Superman legend.67.237.189.239 (talk) 20:07, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I remember reading Superman comics back in the '50s, when I was a boy and it was always Lex Luthor, although Superman (and others) sometimes referred to him by his last name only, just as they would with other people if they're not being formal. JDZeff (talk) 21:28, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's It?

[edit]

"and the Man of Steel vanishes into 'The Empty Doom'." It's pretty clear from the Chapter Titles list that there must be more to the film after that. David A Spitzley (talk) 13:18, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
