Article appears to be one giant copyright violation

[edit]

The page on Araucaria on the website of the American Conifer Association is reproduced in our article. I have been deleting paragraphs for copyvio. Then, it occurred to me that they may have copied Wikipedia. So I stopped deleting, reverted my edits and looked at their website for copyright info. Only photos were copyrighted, not the site's contents, that I can tell. Just wondering what the procedure is to determine which "version" is the original. Will contact WP:Help desk.--Quisqualis (talk) 20:45, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Distribution map

[edit]
Problematic map

The map in the infobox positions the distibution of Araucaria araucana way up north and east. It seem obviate the near-coast Araucarias of Cordillera de Nahuelbuta and wrongly locate most of the A. araucana distribution in Mendoza and San Juan provinces of Argentina. The distibution of Araucaria angustifolia does also seem exagerated into the northeast of Uruguay, a place where as far I am concerned the tree does not grow.
