Career
[edit]i think will i am is the main composer not apl. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.152.40.212 (talk) 12:06, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
the career section starts off with "the pair soon formed..." but apparently needs something leading into that phrase or at least info on who the other half of the pair is.
is also changed the sentence "is also a tribute to the Filipinos who fought for the U.S. in World War II, who for some reason have never been paid their due (Filipinos are the only ones who have not received their payment from the US Army among soldiers from other nationalities who fought for the US Army)." to end after the WW2 reference.
an example of the dispute is "In 1934, the Commonwealth Army of the Philippines was established in preparation for Philippine independence. The Philippine Independence Act of 1934 also gave the President of the United States the authority to call the Philippine National Army into service under U.S. command, but that is not the same as serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Soldiers of many World War II allied armies served under U.S. command but do not receive any benefit from the VA. While Filipino forces fought bravely and certainly aided the U.S. in the war effort, in the end they fought for their own and soon to be independent Philippine nation." Communist
[edit]I think someone should state in the article his political views. It is obvious that he is a communist because he has been seen wearing a t-shirt with the hammer and the sickle CatonB 04:48, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's like saying everyone who wears a Cheech & Chong shirt smokes weed. A lot of people sporing portraits of Che on their clothing don't give a rat's rump about his politics; they just want to look cool. 70.130.219.206 (talk) 20:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Even IF he were a communist, it would be completely irrelevant, considering he is a musician, not a political figure. If communism were a major influence on his music, that would be different. Someone the Person (talk) 21:19, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Apl's reletive?
[edit]Is apl.de.ap related to Journey's lead siger Arnel Pineda? They are both Fillipino, or is Pineda just a common name? -GouramiWatcher (Gulp) 00:14, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Apl.de.ap's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 19:35, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
