Removed statements
[edit]As part of a tidy up to fix unreliable references, I removed the following statements:
“and was, contrary to contemporary media assertions,[1] the first instance of smoking on stage after the English smoking ban.” - This link no longer works. I cannot find any references that support this claim.
“The 2007 production was also the first to include a non-youth actor, in Simon Dutton, one of the actors who played the protagonist, Simon Templar in the television series The Saint. - In addition to not being able to find a reliable reference that supported this claim, this information didn't seem relevant to the subject of the article.

Production history
[edit]The original article claims that the BBC commissioned the radio play, and then this was rewritten for the NYT. I can't find any reliable sources that verify this, and this would seem to be contradicted by:
a) the statement on the archived NYT website saying the play was developed by the theatre in response to the smoking ban b) the fact that the earliest recorded date of broadcast of the play is in 208, after the theatre production.
I've added a citation needed template for the time being. Can anyone clear this up? Or should the statement be deleted?
