2024 Art+Feminism Task List

[edit]

The 2024 Art+Feminism campaign theme is Solidarity. Solidarity! Solidarity?: We're (not) all in this together. To create this year’s task list, Art+Feminism team members got together to brainstorm about the artists, artworks, organizers, social movements, scholars and more that come to mind when we think about the cohesion that “solidarity” can generate but also its frictions.

If you’re joining the 2024 Campaign, you can use our task list for your event or use the same prompt to create your own task list. We also have instructions on using PetScan and Wikidata Query Service to generate editing task lists.

If you’re looking to make your first edits, check out our tutorial on interlinking or consider adding infoboxes to articles. If you still feel like you’re searching for a place to begin, join us for one of our virtual editing tables.

Create your own editing task list using PetScan

[edit]

In the past, we’ve used PetScan to search through various categories and tags on Wikipedia to create lists. You can read our instructions on how to use PetScan here. If you want to see our older lists, they are archived here.

Creating your list using Queries

[edit]

Another way to create a task list is through Wikidata queries. Here are some links and examples:

Other tools that you can use to build your lists include:

[edit]
  • List Builder is an experimental tool that generates working lists through connecting related articles. It can be used with any language Wikipedia.
  • GapFinder is an experimental tool that allows users to see a non-comprehensive list of related articles available for translation on a given subject, as well as each article’s pageviews.
  • WikiNav is an experimental tool that helps users visualize flows of information, i.e. how users are getting to a Wikipedia page and which pages users are clicking on after landing on that page. This tool is only available for the top 10 language Wikipedias and isn’t always updated. It can be useful when strategizing which pages to edit within a flow of information.
  • Pageviews Analysis is a tool helps users visualize the amount of views Wikipedia pages receive over a period of time through various charts and graphs. It can be helpful for prioritizing work through comparison and mapping trends in information on Wikipedia.
