Luke Brandon Shoefield (born 21 March 1988),[1] known professionally as Luke Brandon Field, is an English actor and musician. His films include Jojo Rabbit (2019) and The Flash (2023). On television, he appeared in the AMC series Interview with the Vampire (2024–).

Early life and education

The son of producer Gary Shoefield,[2] Field was born in central London and grew up in North London. His godfather was Patrick McGoohan.[3] Field is of Jewish decent and he identifies as Jewish.[4] Field attended University College School (UCS). He was offered a scholarship to study Drama and Film at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), transferring there for his final two years of university.[5]

Career

After making a small appearance in the 2006 comedy film Alien Autospy alongside his father, Field had his first prominent film roles in the 2011 British and American films Lotus Eaters and Where the Road Meets the Sun respectively.[6] In 2013, he appeared in the horror film Blackwood as well as the web series You Look Stunning Too. This was followed by roles in the 2015 anthology Emily & Tim as well as the films Bob Thunder: Internet Assassin and I Am the Doorway.[7]

Field starred in the 2018 film One Last Night.[8][9] He gained prominence through his role as Christoph in Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit, which premiered in 2019.[10][11] He then appeared in the film All for Nikki.[12]

In 2022, Field made his television debut in an episode of the AMC series Interview with the Vampire as young Daniel Molloy (played by Eric Bogosian later in life); he later confirmed he would be returning in the second season. The following year, Field played the comic book villain Alberto Falcone in the DC Universe film The Flash.[13][14]

In addition to acting, Field is a musician and member of the band Rogues.[3]
