Name

[edit]

The road is named for the influential Lefferts family, who played a significant role in the development of the area. The family, who extended their land holdings also in Brooklyn, Long Island, and New Jersey,[1] was among the early Dutch settlers in the region, and their presence and contributions left a lasting mark on the community.[2]
