Highlands is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in San Mateo County. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 2,359.[2]

Highlands was first listed as a census designated place in the 2020 U.S. Census[3] after the Highlands-Baywood Park CDP[4] was split into the Baywood Park and Highlands CDPs.[5]
