Summary

Description
English: The structure of DCl, deuterium chloride, from neutron powder diffraction at 77 K. The box is the unit cell. Evidence indicates that HCl has the same structure as DCl. The zigzag chains of DCl are indicated by the dashed lines. Data from Sándor, E.; Farrow, R. F. C. (14 January 1967). "Crystal Structure of Solid Hydrogen Chloride and Deuterium Chloride". Nature 213: 171-172. The data was converted to a .cif file, loaded into Jmol, and saved as a .png file.
