DescriptionCa. 1903 streetcar in Connecticut Avenue Highlands.jpg
English: Taken about a decade after Connecticut Avenue was graded north of Rock Creek and the electric Rock Creek Railway tracks were laid down its center, this photo shows a nascent streetcar suburb ("Connecticut Avenue Highlands") when development was just starting in the modern-day neighborhood of Cleveland Park. The billboard stands near the site of the present-day Uptown Theater.
