Category:Same-sex marriage ballot measures in the United States
Appearance
Before same-sex marriage was legalized in 2015 in the United States by Obergefell v. Hodges, ballot measures to restrict it were passed in many states.
In addition, because same-sex marriage had not been established as a right before 2015, some ballot measures were introduced in states to legalize same-sex marriage.
