Take a look at Wikipedia talk:Typeface list collaboration#Samples of script typefaces and comment on whether sample pages need references, or not. Personally, I think not. Reference material goes in the particular typeface articles, not in the lists. --DThomsen8 (talk) 13:55, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Okay, I signed in the right place. Also I'm wondering if the telltake signs I saw were clues for class 5, or red herrings. If I said something about a particular river in Campeche, would that mean anything to you? ɳoɍɑfʈ Talk! 10:59, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I had a lot of fun looking for your secret page, and I thought the way you disguised it was brilliant. I'm excited about your other page. :) See you after the Dramaout! ALI nom nom 15:05, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

HELLO!

Hi!!! - Damërung . -- 01:24, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Secret Page

I seem to have found your class-3/4 secret pages, and you seem to not check them often. :) Reply on my page, with the barnstars, and the answer to my question that you no doubt will find. :) I really like the place you hid the class-4 one. Hi878 (talk) 01:06, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because you've contributed to FPC either recently or in the past, I'm letting you know about the above poll on the basis of which we may develop proposals to change our procedures and criteria. Regards, Papa Lima Whiskey (talk) 09:26, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2010 April newsletter

Round two is over, and we are down to our final 32. For anyone interested in the final standings (though not arranged by group) this page has been compiled. Congratulations to Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions), our clear overall round winner, and to Colombia ThinkBlue (submissions) and Norway Arsenikk (submissions), who were solidly second and third respectively. There were a good number of high scorers this round- competition was certainly tough! Round three begins tomorrow, but anything promoted after the end of round two is eligible for points. 16 contestants (eight pool leaders and eight wildcards) will progress to round four in two months- things are really starting to get competitive. Anything you worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.

Judge iMatthew has retired from Wikipedia, and we wish him the best. The competition has been ticking over well with minimal need for judge intervention, so thank you to everyone making that possible. A special thank you goes to participants Bavaria Stone (submissions) and White Shadows (submissions) for their help in preparing for round three. Good luck everyone! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Question

I have one question about your class five (I've been intermittently working on that one since I got class four). Do you throw red herrings into your Easter eggs? More specifically, can I take anything I find inside a <!-- as a clue? Or should I be skeptical and watching out for dead ends? Damërung . -- 09:24, 8 May 2010 (UTC) 09:24, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

None of that; in fact, I´ll tell you something: no dead ends, no <!-- marks, is right in front... and remember that I have a big userspace. - Damërung . -- 09:24, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, in that case, why do you have the "ottendorf code thing behind <!-- on the class 4? And I went back and looked at the page history...you had the wikilink code out in the open when you set the page up on June 29, 2009 and later put it behind a <!--. Also, when you first added the content about the different classes of secret pages, you had a reference to German Wikipedia behind <!-- and that was later removed. I don't know if any of this is relevant to my search, though. I have a hunch that the class 5 page is buried in a page history, having been created by an IP address, sock, or buddy of yours, so your username doesn't give you away. It is one of those situations where I have to note everything and build a mountainous pile of details, hoping that a new discovery I make later might relate to something I noted before... ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 10:06, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Very clever! I didn´t decided to use an otendorf code here. I don´t remember if I consider it a little bit too tricky or more like inapropriate due the dynamic nature of wikipedia pages (so then an otendorf code will require something that doesn´t change in time like a book, or I would be forced to be updating it periodically). So I used something similar that may or may not be technically an otendorf, but close. And it´s the last one of the clues. Since your so observing and sly, I´ll tell you some more: I wouldn´t use sockpuppetry to do this, or a friend or another IP, it´s all clean and my edit history actually CAN give me away but it would be difficult to go that way, I wouldn´t recomend that. - Damërung . -- 22:00, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, for the future if you decide to change it up, there is one thing on Wikipedia that doesn't change, that you can use an ottendorf cipher on: an oldid page. Use banana from June 12, 2006 or something. Will take your clues under consideration and get to serious snooping tomorrow. Thanks! ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 00:24, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah!! for some reason I didn´t do that, perhaps I consider it to be too much difficult. - Damërung . -- 01:24, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tag

User:White Shadows/AH Cabal/Message--White Shadows you're breaking up 01:46, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Damerung, I request that you remove the tag from this page, and replace it with the one from my cabal. After all, I found your secret pages. And we have more members, and are going to take over the wiki. :) Replace the tag with {{User:Hi878/Earth Cabal/Tag}} and join, if you would like. Hi878 (talk) 02:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Or not, I've known you longer. To some extent :)--White Shadows you're breaking up 02:11, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I found your secret pages (Well, two of them anyway), so you should join mine, just because I'm obviously smarter. :) We have more members than just the creator, which makes ours just a tad stronger, at this point. Hi878 (talk) 02:19, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ours is original. What kind of Cabal is the Earth Cabal and you stole it from an inactive editor. I created mine!--White Shadows you're breaking up 02:21, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Two responses: First, I did not steal it from an inactive editor. I have taken it over, trying to revive it. I think saying that I stole it is a bit much. Second, you almost completely copied mine when you created your cabal, I looked at it and thought I was looking at mine for a few moments. :) I've now completely changed the way that mine looks, just because I was so disgusted with that. :) And one more thing: We have more than one member (excluding creator/reactivator). So we are currently stronger. :) Hi878 (talk) 02:32, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
????? what? ...I´m very confused, are you sure you got the right user? (lol). Besides, both tags seem to be deleted. - Damërung . -- 01:24, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, you missed a lot... Let's just say that there were three very interesting days, and now both cabals are squashed. :) Hi878 (talk) 04:54, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Secret page business

I've been thinking. While you were away I got heavily in some of the bigger workings of Wikipedia, which is to say, bug recurring debates where everyone seems to have a predisposed side. I am, of course, talking about secret page deletions. And I got sort of sick of those mass deletions and the arguments provided, and...

Ah, what the heck. I'll cut right to the chase. (A little insignificant moved ahead four spaces.)

What about a separate wiki dedicated to secret pages? ALI nom nom 12:09, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, my secret pages are not technically secret pages, I mean I didn´t create a whole separate page to be a secret page, I´m not violating any rule since my secret pages are normal pages (even the 4-class is not even a page, is just a chamber, and the 5th isess of a page being ingot). Anyway, about a wiki for secret pages, well I don´t know... mmm.... perhaps not many people will collaborate. A wiki without content that is not secret would be like a paradox (you know what I mean?). But dont get discouraged by my negativeness. - Damërung . -- 01:24, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose it wouldn't work. (Well, there I go. :P) ALI nom nom 01:38, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quick Translation of a Title?

How would you say this in English: Mission und Macht im Wandel politischer Orientierungen: Europaische Missionsgesellschaften in politischen Spannungsfeldern in Afrika und Asien zwischen 1800 und 1945. Google Translate is having a little trouble with the grammar, and I can't make out the meaning exactly. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 10:27, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well...... I´m sorry I can´t be of much help, but I´m not a master in german. As my userpage says, I´m only in level-1 german (de-1) so I can only understand (little) the basics. What I understood about what you typed is "Mission and power in change political orintatation: something about the mission that belongs to europe in political tension fields in Africa and Asia between 1800 and 1945" So I guess a program translator could do it better... :(
P.S. Are you mocking me? or I just gave you another clue? - Damërung . -- 05:01, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind that, (what was I thinking) that was actually no clue, I was wrong thinking. - Damërung . -- 23:01, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, okay. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 02:09, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Secret Page

I would just love more hints than you have given for your class-5. Can I at least know if I have to leave the English Wikipedia to find it? You have far too much time on your hands... :) Hi878 (talk) 05:22, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alright then. - Damërung . -- 17:07, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
