"Some people heard Johnny Rotten's cry of "get pissed... destroy!" and took this as a call to set up left-wing youth community theatre projects. I set out to get pissed and destroy":

Re. Down by the Water

I finally bought the album, and although I love it, there are so many melodic/musical similarities... like Margaritaville, or Wake Up...not to mention his own work in Tarkio! - Theornamentalist (talk) 04:42, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Larry Norman are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. I don't appreciate you pointing people to my personal page nor do I appreciate you telling me how to live my life. More importantly, it's not appropriate for a talk page on a subject who is not me. I don't understand

I do not delete text. I merely correct misspelled words and grammar - like the professor writing on the walls of the restroom :)

Hi there

I noticed your edit to Megali Mantineia, which corrected "inhabiants" somewhere down the page, but completed failed to spot the obvious, and obviously incorrect "The old school, built i 1743-53" in the very last line, along with three other typos and misspellings. That was staggeringly incompetent, and gives me the impression that you're not even bothering to read the articles, or indeed read the start and end of the articles that you're correcting. The mistake above was particularly bad. Your kind of dabbling but sloppy work is likely to do more damage to Wikipedia than the deletions you have spent every month of your life for the last six years correcting, so I would love it if you stopped attacking editors who are focusing on different aspects of Wikipedia than you are. Phil Hartman

Because images of those things would be irelevant? He co-created Pee-Wee Herman. That's perfectly relevant. Gran2 13:55, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your challenge at How now brown cow

... has been edited, changing the terms of your offer and alleging you to be a self-described "jerk face". 76.244.149.253 (talk) 21:16, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Off Site Canvassing

Hello Ashley. Thank you for your posting the "off site canvassing" email you received from User:Bzuk with regard to "No Highway in the Sky". This editor is a long story as he is one who basically does not like to have his particular views on anything (particularly formatting and a variety of other issues some of which he has self admitted as being done to be "petty") ever challenged or questioned in any way. I am used to discovering his canvassing in other WP forums made without his advising me (although this is the first time I have been made aware of his also doing so "off site" as well), but not to worry I can take care of myself. (I don't know where he came up with the impression that I am a John Wayne fan, however, as I am not.) With that out of the way, you certainly have a really super photography blog which I found linked on your user page which, by the way, I think is wonderfully written. I have bookmarked it and will now follow regularly. I do both SLR digital photography -- mostly of railroads -- as well as digital image restoration of all kinds. (See my user page for links to my many other photography and history web sites.) Thanks for your support in the "off site canvassing" issue and making me aware that it happened. I have asked Bzuk to not do it again. Centpacrr (talk) 20:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ashley - I noticed you contributed in some way to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_control_photography so I thought you might be interested in the fact that I have created Mark Roberts Motion Control. Could you please look it over and make sure I've done it right. I'm hoping you might like to contribute to it too.

I had a look through your Wiki bio and 2 things struck me - your mention of Monty Python. I must be one of the world's biggest Python fans having met all of the living Pythons. I've been bonkers about it since 1973. I also saw that you mentioned the original Brighton Rock movie. Well my mum happened to be at its 1947 premiere as you can see in the leftmost pic, second row from the top here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.464385394013.260043.517774013&type=1&l=addc32f450 Setomorp (talk) 04:34, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Penelope Tree

In May 2008, you asked a question at Talk:Penelope Tree#Drugs. I have just left a response for you. (Better late than never.) If you wish to respond, please do so over there. HairyWombat 20:05, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ooookay

That bit where you explain how you're the first to alter Richard Attenborough's entry seems to link to a bit about the death of his grand-daughter Lucy. It's just a bit bad taste. It's the 'I put that in' bit. Also - were you the guy on e2 who got very, very excited about 'A Flock Of Seagulls', because I really respect that... AFOS is the real deal. They're not a *specific* flock, just a flock. Of seagulls, man... any flock, any place... all those rooms are empty. It's like when Gary muses 'and I can think for myself'. Yeah. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.228.234 (talk) 00:38, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

could you please ....

Hi , I stumbled upon your name and see your Wikipedia editor. I've not written any articles and have only added small details and a few photos to wiki commons. The reason why I write is to ask your help in writing an article on the surname Pomeroy as I see you share this name with me. I recently researched the lineage and for the last 3 months keep stumbling upon more Pomeroys every day. Until the research I'd never heard the name except my immediate family. I have submitted a page , but its in its approval stage. Any help or further research in building the page would be a great help.

Thanks.
