Living people workgroup

The Living people workgroup is a group of members of the Biography WikiProject dedicated to ensuring biographical articles of living people strictly adhere to our policy on biographies of living persons (BLPs). The tasks of this working group include categorizing articles, maintenance tagging, checking for and removing unsourced contentious claims, and initiating and participating in deletion discussions for BLPs. This page centralizes all tasks relating to BLPs.

Related projects

Since biographies are potentially under the purview of almost all WikiProjects, it is important that we work in tandem with these projects. Also, when seeking collaboration on articles, don't neglect to approach WikiProjects that are part of the geographical region your subject is/was in.

Open tasks

Categorizing

Articles than may be in need of categorizing and instructions for doing so can be found at Wikipedia:Uncategorized biographies of living people.

All biographies of living persons should be categorized in Category:Living people or Category:Possibly living people, and should be marked by adding living=yes to the {{WPBiography}} project banner at the top of its talk page. This will automatically place it into Category:Biography articles of living people.

Clean-up

Removed negative, unsourced claims

A listing of articles potentially containing negative, unsourced claims can be found at Wikipedia:Alleviate negative unsourced statements. See also: Wikipedia:Database reports/Biographies of living persons containing unsourced statements, Category:All unreferenced BLPs and Category:BLP articles lacking sources.

According to the BLP policy, BLPs should contain no negative, unsourced claims. Any contentious material that is not supported by reliable sources should be immediately removed per BLP policy.

Hybrid Theory EP

Why are the Album covers for Hybrid Theory EP and Undergrounf v5.0 not up? Jay 00:05, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Any confirmation about "Morning After (LP Mix)"? Seems very unlikely they'd release a song on so few copies. -Unknownwarrior33 21:55, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I took off the information regarding the remix seeing that there is absolutely no information on its distribution. In the future if it is confirmed that the band actually did this then it should be added back .--SayCheese 15:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. I also did some searching last night and found absolutely no information on the song at all. I knew there was something fishy about that. -Unknownwarrior33 17:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising?

This article feels a lot like an advertisement? Anyone else agree? If so, I think either someone should clean it up or tag it --These7enthprophet 06:46, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LP Underground 6.0 Track Listing

I removed track 7 which was labeled as "Announcement Service Public (Reversed)" as there is no such track on the album. Chouonsoku 02:35, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Img067.jpg

Image:Img067.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:46, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate Cover (Underground 6)

You know about the alternate cover for Linkin Park Underground 6, right. If not, then I'll explain. The article says that a limited edition of Underground 6 was being sold at Projekt Revolution shows. The only difference was that it had a red cover instead of a green cover. I found the image on the Linkin Park Underground website. Should it be uploaded into an alternate cover subtemplate? 12.214.76.88 (talk) 03:23, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the link, for what it's worth, 24.184.184.177 (talk) 00:00, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LPU v5.0 Genres

I have added hip hop since the EP was a collaboration with Jay-Z, featuring one of his own (un-remixed) songs, as well as the massive hip hop influence he brought to the performance as a hip hop artist. Bane II (talk) 21:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

Why isn't it notable? This page contains a lot of information on all of Linkin Park's LPU album releases. It would be a pity to delete it all... - Akadewboy (talk) 18:18, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't notable because there is nothing to indicate that it is notable. Most often, notability is established through substantial coverage in reliable, third-party sources. If no reliable sources have written substantially about Linkin Park Underground, it isn't notable. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 17:20, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Are you guys insane? Just google it and pay attention to the media world and you'll see it's very notable. This is a well-established and detailed and accurate article pertaining to a very expansive and popular fan club of one of the biggest music acts today. It would be asenine to delete this article. I for one completely oppose deletion on the grounds of anyone saying it should is being ludicrous.
