"Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)", written by Per Gessle, was the second single released from Swedish pop duo Roxette's 1991 album Joyride. In July 1991, the song spent a week at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

Music video

The music video was shot mostly in Gamla stan, Stockholm, Sweden and features images of Stockholm City Hall. It was written in 1989 ("in Canada" according to Gessle), but eventually released in 1991.

"I Remember You" was the B-side for this single in the U.S. The single was available as a 7" and 12" format as well as a cassette single.
