Doyle Royal

Doyle Royle is an American former collegiate soccer head coach. He was the first head men's soccer coach at the University of Maryland history, where he served from 1946 to 1973. In 28 years, the legendary coach went 217-58-18(.771), including 94-12-6(.866) in Atlantic Coast Conference play. His winning percentage ranks number 1 all time among Maryland head coaches, and his wins rank him number 2 all time. He led Maryland to the 1968 National Championship. He was also the school's men's tennis head coach.

He is a member of the University of Maryland athletic hall of fame.
