Asociația Club Sportiv USV Iași, also known as USV Iași, or just USV is a Romanian football club based in Iași, Iași County, which currently plays in the Liga III, the third tier of Romanian football, following their promotion at the end of the 2023–24 Liga IV season.
History
USV Iași was founded in 2022 and was enrolled in the Liga IV.
The club won the fourth tier in the following season, finishing ahead of former Liga II side CSM Pașcani level on points, but USV was ahead because of the goal difference rule.[1][2] The club also achieved promotion to Liga III, after they beat Prosport Vârful Câmpului, Botoșani County champions, 5–3, becoming the first club from Iași to play in the third tier after 14 years.[3]
