Guidelines

[edit | edit source]

Welcome to Sport Innovation the wikibook!

Sign up for a free account on wikibooks, so that your contributions are recorded, and then you're ready to get started.

Sport Innovation is partly a class project, therefore contributors need to be aware of the guidelines for class projects.

Wikibooks pages should only review, not promote any commercial interests.

Also, make sure that you are always reading the latest draft of your wiki pages, by clicking on the tab called Latest Draft (next to Read, if available). You can also set this as default in your Preferences > Edit review > Always show the latest version

If you have any questions contact the user Sport Innovation who started this wikibook, or ask in the Reading Room.

[edit | edit source]

Here are some quick tips on how to insert LINKS in your wiki article.

For INTERNAL links e.g., adding wiki pages use this template Label of wiki page

Both the name and the label are your choice, for example: Skins - compression sportswear

For EXTERNAL links e.g., jumping to another website use this template [URL Label for website]

The label can be anything, for example: BBC News

For links to another Wikimedia project, for example, Wikipedia, you can use British Broadcasting Corporation but this should only be used where the material linked is directly relevant (so don't link common words like "sport"), and should not be repeated multiple times on the same page.

There is also a LINK BUTTON in the edit menu which can be used to generate both internal and external links.

Footnotes

[edit | edit source]

If you want to insert a reference footnote, like this[1] use 1

Then at the bottom of the page insert

1.^ Body of the footnote.

created by using :1.1Body of the footnote.
