Sticky Toffee Pudding (STP), or Sticky Date Pudding as it can be known by in Australia and New Zealand, is a rich, dense, gooey dessert originating from the United Kingdom that can now be found across the world.

Step 1: prepare and cook the STP

Decide on the recipe you wish to use to create your STP in the recipes above and go about following its method to cook your STP.

Step 2: prepare the sauce

Using the butterscotch sauce recipe above, prepare the sauce for your STP.

Step 3: add some sauce into the STP

Don't forget to add some of your sauce into your STP. As soon as you take it out the oven, prick the STP all over and pour over your butterscotch sauce so a thin layer rests on top.

Step 4: serve

Serve your STP with your sauce and choice of ice cream or custard.
