[edit]Internationalism; possibly borrowed from English Anabaptism, French anabaptisme, or German Anabaptismus, ultimately from Greek ἀναβαπτισμός (anabaptismós).[1] By surface analysis, ana- + baptyzm. First attested in 1836.[2]
