Viral gehen
[edit]In the phrase viral gehen, which is obviously modelled on English to go viral, the verb gehen takes over the sense "become" from English go, though I can't find any other examples of German gehen having this sense. Here is an example: "Ein Video der Rettungsaktion ging viral, der Retter wurde als "Spiderman" berühmt." (SZ 29 June 2021) Should this be included in the entry as an additional meaning? — This unsigned comment was added by Doric Loon (talk • contribs).
- We already have viral gehen, I don't think it's necessary to add anything to gehen, unless this becomes more generalized of course. – Jberkel 09:15, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
