Hungarian soldiers

[edit]

It should be noted that baka is an informal term and refers to lowest-ranking soldiers in the hungarian language, for conscripts, privates or maybe a lance-corporal, but nothing like OR-5 or higher. Baka probably comes from bakancs, the name of laced boots worn by infantry. I think "GI Joe" is a suitable analogy in english. 82.131.210.163 16:49, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
