My sources say: Dutch translation is Filipijnen but perhaps they are wrong and Filippijnen is the only correct spelling. Don't know... Youandme 15:29 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

I've seen them both in respectable Dutch dictionaries (van Dale: "Filippijnen"; Verschueren: "Filipijnen"). I think both are allowed, but I'll look further into the matter. D.D. 16:15 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)
A quick Google search for both spellings in Dutch language sites: Filipijnen: 10,400 hits; Filippijnen: 16,600 hits. There is a difference, but I don't think it's enough to decide one way or another. I'll look further. D.D. 16:24 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

Just add both to the list, if there is more than oen speelling it hsoudl eb included. -fonzy

Does it really matter - which one? ~ rc
