What is the right context tag for this? I see several modern books that use it, but many of them use it in lower case (hanif) or it italics (suggesting it's not an English word). - -sche (discuss) 16:42, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

They are basically pre-Muhammadan Muslims. People who lived in the 6th century and earlier but maintained the original message of Abraham from the Muslim perspective. I have corrected the definition. Pass a Method (talk) 19:49, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
