File:Nan-中國.ogg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Notification about possible deletion
[edit]Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Copyright status: File:ACC-b01075.svg
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:ACC-b01075.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

I blocked bot account. Please perform only test uploads before approval. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:00, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- @EugeneZelenko: Are there any problems with the upload? If not, why not grant a bot flag rather than block it? Wyang (talk) 14:05, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- It's always good idea to discuss batch operation before proceed in full scale. Exactly as Russian proverb tells: "measure seven time, cut once" ("семь раз отмерь, один раз отрежь"). --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:06, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- @EugeneZelenko: I did, at multiple places, and no objection was raised regarding the upload. This is a one-time upload, and the approval is taking days. Wyang (talk) 14:10, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- Commons:Bots/Requests is right place to discuss bot operations. And I already pointed there that large uploads should be made only after approval. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:12, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- @EugeneZelenko: Could you grant a bot flag as soon as possible? The infrastructure at the English Wiktionary is already in place (wikt:Module:zh-glyph) but the files are not found. Thank you! Wyang (talk) 14:16, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- It's always good idea to let several people to participate in discussion. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:17, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- @EugeneZelenko: Yes, if people are participating in the discussion. I hope this is not going to be a decades-long wait for people joining the discussion. Wyang (talk) 14:25, 9 July 2016 (UTC)

Thanks !
[edit]I noticed your upload weeks ago but jump in to thanks you for those. Commons is sometime slow to react and over protective, but thanks for the sharing. Also, did you converted the database from gif to svg yourself ? I have no knowledge of vector files on internationalScientific.org Yug (talk) 10:40, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

Hey ! Need your bot
[edit]Hello Wyang. I made an interesting little discovery today. We may need your bot in February. Is it still certified and allowed to make massive upload to commons ? 1766 -red.png files to upload with relevant template. Yug (talk) 20:19, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Yug: Unfortunately my bot is not certified. :( Wyang (talk) 07:12, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
- Technically, could you give me some guidance ? What code or tool to use and/or hack ?--Yug (talk) 07:29, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Yug: Sure :) I recommend using mw:Manual:Pywikibot- it has a script for batch uploading images: mw:Manual:Pywikibot/upload.py, which I used when uploading the glyph images. Wyang (talk) 08:06, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

- PS: I'am copying your answer to the Commons:Village pump, where it answer one of my question. Yug (talk) 11:55, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi Wyang,
I've been digging again in the direction of mass generation Chinese characters svg. I look for mentors to upload these files and using Pywikibot, likely in 2021 tho. Yug (talk) 15:13, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Hello. I came across this non-existent category with almost 1,300 files! Can I ask what your plans are e.g. will this category be created? Green Giant (talk) 14:02, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Green Giant: The category should be gradually depopulated now. Wyang (talk) 21:28, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
