Please review COM:MELLOW. Then please assume good faith. Your comments on the subject talk page were out of line. ++Lar: t/c 02:26, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Staying mellow is an essay I don't wish to follow. AGF extends to good faith actions. Rjd0060 made a massive mistake (or purposeful action), and has shown no remorse or regret in doing so. Therefore, I cannot AGF. Majorly talk 12:30, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Essay or no, there are enforcable behavioural standards that apply. But I'm not here to threaten, merely to counsel you. Slow down, and actually think how petty you look raising issues that way... on someone's congratulations page, no less. Just not a good approach if you wish to retain the respect of your fellow editors. Perhaps that does not matter to you but in a collaborative environment, respect is the most powerful coin you have. ++Lar: t/c 14:53, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Rjd has no respect for me, so I have no respect for him. I'm not out to earn respect. I'm here to build a free content project. Majorly talk 17:00, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As should we all be. Yet, I find that having respect makes it easier to get things done... people give more credence to views and are more favourably disposed to do favours. I do not bend my actions solely to gain respect, at the expense of all else, I work constructively and positively, and the respect is earned as a side effect. Yet it still... still is a very powerful coin. This is counsel, do with it as you see fit. ++Lar: t/c 21:13, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, well my time on Wikimedia projects is dwindling fast. I doubt I'll be here past the end of the year - I'm back in full time education, and in any case, I'm tired of this. It's becoming an effort to log on in the morning. It's no longer fun. I was, at one time, a well - respected admin. Now I'm simply a troll. Which is probably true, but if someone is abusive, as RJD is, it needs telling. It makes me quite sick actually watching people like him waltzing round like they own the place, when he's been with us nearly a year. Veteran editors like myself are shoved aside, and frankly, I've had enough of it. I've ended up making such trollish comments out of frustration with people. I can't complain to anyone about it, as everyone thinks I'm a troll. So, I'm pretty stuck. As you know, I love the projects very much, but it's becoming very difficult for me to continue here productively. Majorly talk 21:40, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have found that respect is far easier to lose than it is to gain, and once lost, hard (but not impossible) to gain back. If you are not having fun, it is better to find something else to enjoy than to do things that burn off respect... Perhaps the way back is to just let most things abide, and avoid getting involved in things that might provoke you into making comments you later regret. ++Lar: t/c 01:15, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Noted. I'm not actually interested in being "respected" as I said above, because often it is meaningless (as is demonstrated, the worst kind of users on the project (game players that is) are the ones who get the most respect. I'll be continuing to express my opinions on such people (and other good editors who are here for the right reasons). Majorly talk 23:35, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Majorly. I'd like to let you know you can now sign up as a participant in this new WikiProject. The WikiProject's talk page should be a good forum for future discussions. Thank you.--Pharos (talk) 02:20, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please move the above file to Womindjeka Day 2008 2.JPG. Ottre 07:55, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Deleted: Cover_Quam_Diu?_Lente_2008.jpg

[edit]

Hello Majorly,

I've seen that you have deleted the image http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Cover_Quam_Diu%3F_Lente_2008.jpg

I'm the one who has designed that cover and I have given my permission to the person that uploaded the file.

I was wondering why you have deleted the specific file.

Thanks, Rens Bakker 86.88.87.97 17:48, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Commons:Administrators/Requests and votes/ABF (bureaucrat)

[edit]

Hi Majorly, you have two different statements on ABF's 'cratship "Votes" section, namely a striked "neutral" and a "support". If I am interpreting timestamps well, you striked the neutral to change to support? I'm just making sure things are conted correctly in the end. Cheers, Patrícia msg 20:29, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's right - the neutral is stricken. Thanks for enquiring, Majorly talk 21:15, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Majorly! Thanks for giving me your oppinnion about me in my RfB, and because of some opposes of really trusted commons-users I withdrew. Now I have got the best 'crate-coach I could think of and I might possibly retry in a few month. To improve my behaviour/editing habbits here on commons till then I'd like to hear what you want me to change in detail(as you also had concerns, even if you supported ;) ). Expecially examples you're not happy with would be great. Feel also free to e-mail me if you don't want to say this in public. Thanks for your help, abf «Cabale?! Hey Majorly. It's Tim. I was wondering if you would mind closing these two deletion requests so I can usurp the account who created them. Thanks. Timmeh37 (talk) 21:17, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Bramallmap.jpg

[edit]

Hi Majorly. Recently, you deleted the file Bramallmap.jpg. This file was also originally uploaded by you. Reason given was 'incomplete'. Can you explain the reason of deletion? Was this file deleted using the standard 1-month procedure - where can I find the discussion? Please notice that the file was used in a wikibook (i.e. wikibooks.nl) and is still included in the .pdf version of that wikibook. 82.170.161.67 = User:KKoolstra 08:26, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's incomplete meaning it's incomplete - that is, missing details on the map, such as details of the servants wing. It's not particularly accurate either. I can restore it if you still wish to use it. Which book is it? Majorly talk 09:08, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please restore it, because it's accuracy is not important. It is used (or was, since commons delinker has already done it's job) as just an example of a local map in the following wikibook: [1]. Sincerely, KKoolstra (talk) 09:45, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Majorly talk 10:04, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, the map is back in the book now. KKoolstra (talk) 10:21, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We need your help at the Wikiproject medicine

[edit]

Hello, Sorry for spaming your talk page, but this is very important. On the behalf of the Wikiproject medicine at the en.wikipedia, I am inviting you to be a part of the discussion going on the project's talk page about Patient images, The discussion started after I obtained a permission to more than 23000 dermatology related images, and about 1500 radiology images. As some editors of the Wikiproject medicine have some concerns regarding the policy of using patient images on wikipedia, and regarding patient consents. Also they believe that common's policy is not so clear regarding the issue. And since you are the experts please join us at this very important discussion -- MaenK.A.Talk 14:23, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Would you please userfy File talk:Hagana2. jpg or at least the portion of it relevant to the deletion of its associated file? Thanks!   — Jeff G. ツ 13:09, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
