I did not realize that written permission of the copyright holder was required. I am the creator of the image (not the copyright holder) and had verbal permission of the copyright holder. I have obtained the written permission and emailed it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org

I removed the request for speedydeletion, but i also removed the missleading author (=User:Burkr) and source (=Own work by uploader) because im a bit confused about your statement. Is it a screenshot (form a game or the website or whatelse) or did you made this image entirely by yourself? --Martin H. (talk) 19:52, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am the creator of the image. I did it as part of my work for Planet Poker at the time. The image was used in the Planet Poker software as the "lobby" of the software. From here you could go to the cardroom to play poker, go to the cashier and deposit/withdraw money, obtain help, look at hand histories etc. Randy Blumer (as president of Planet Poker) holds the copyright. This image is no longer used in any Planet Poker software (it was from one of the earliest versions of the software).

I didn't realize that I wasn't logged in to Wikimedia when I put in the above message about emailing the permission (sorry about that)

I wrote this informations to the imagepage, thank you very much. The next time a OTRS volunteer will confirm your email with the permission. After this image has a good name and everything seems well with permission etc. i will nominate the duplicate image Image:Lobby.jpg for deletion because of beeing a duplicate file. --Martin H. Permission noted. I've switched the license from public domain to GFDL. My understanding is once you transfer copyright rights to another person, you lose the right to release it into the public domain or otherwise cede or control the licensing of the work.--Chaser (talk) 06:02, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
