Description
English: Official entry into Lille. The march past of the British 47th Division in the Grande Place, 28 October 1918.
Français : Lille (France - dép. du Nord) – 28 octobre 1918 - Défilé de la 47e division britannique sur la Grand'Place à l'occasion de l'entrée officielle à Lille.
  • les troupes britanniques ont fait leur entrée solennelle dans la ville de Lille pavoisée dans toutes ses rues. Plus de 200 000 personnes s’écrasaient, enthousiastes, de la porte de Canteleu au boulevard Carnot, pour voir défiler, musique en tête, les soldats de la 5e armée, sous les ordres du général Birdwood qu’entourait un brillant état-major.
