Summary
[edit]DescriptionIncaflex2.jpg | Wyler Incaflex balance wheel. This was an early 'shockproof' system, to protect the delicate balance wheel pivots from being broken if the watch was dropped. The rim of the balance wheel is attached by curving springy spokes. If the movement receives a mechanical shock, the spokes will bend, allowing the wheel to rock back and forth rather than breaking the pivots. |
