Description
Español: Fíbulas con forma de caballitos y jinete. Museo Arqueológico Nacional de España. Descripciones, de izquierda a derecha:
  • Fíbula vaccea zoomorfa de bronce que representa la figura de un caballo, estilizado y decorado con grupos de círculos concéntricos. Siglos III-II a. C. Procedencia: Palencia. Altura: 2,60 cm; longitud: 3,50 cm; grosor: 0,50. Nº inv. 7883.
  • Fíbula celtibérica zoomorfa de bronce. Se conserva completa a excepción de la aguja y el resorte. Está fabricada en dos partes, por un lado el caballo y por otro el jinete que se une mediante un pivote al caballo y es ligeramente móvil, y una tercera parte falta. El cuerpo del caballo es estilizado y está decorado con grupos de círculos concéntricos. El jinete dirige los brazos extendidos hacia la cabeza del caballo, como si sostuvierao las riendas, y en la mano derecha parece sostener un objeto cilíndrico. Siglos III-II a. C. Procedencia: Necrópolis de La Requijada de Gormaz (Soria). Altura: 5 cm; longitud: 5,60 cm; grosor: 0,50 cm; anchura máxima: 2,20 cm. Nº inv. 1915/82/1.
  • Parte delantera de una fíbula celtíberica zoomorfa de bronce que representa la figura de un caballo estilizado y decorado con grupos de círculos concéntricos: En el cuello tiene líneas incisas que representarían las riendas. Originariamente, iría acompañado de un jinete móvil, actualmente perdido ya que se conserva el hueco donde estaría insertado. Siglos III-II. a. C.
Procedencia: Cerro del Villar = Arcobriga (Monreal de Ariza, Zaragoza). Altura: 3,16 cm; longitud: 4,56 cm; grosor: 0,90 cm. Nº inv. 1940/27/ARC/1748bis.
English: Horse-and ride fibulas, some now minus the rider, have been found in Celtiberian, Vaccaei, Vettonian and Astur territories. Everey basic type, made out of bronze, has its own metallurgical composition with local variations. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. National Archaeological Museum of Spain.
