Summary
[edit]DescriptionDismantled Railway to Pen yr Helyg - geograph.org.uk - 97507.jpg |
English: Dismantled Railway to Pen yr Helyg. This is a view north along the upper part of the dismantled railway on Pen yr Helyg. Apart from the elevated surface there are no remains of the railway. The long south slope of Pen yr Helyg is dominated by very boggy land. Looking at a map, the straight disused railway seems an ideal ascent. Unfortunately, the widespread bog seems to have somehow colonised the raised track in enough places to make waterproof footwear an absolute must. |
