Summary
[edit]| Description | "One of the most interesting public institutions in Washington is the Bureau of Standards, the buildings and grounds of which are shown in the accompanying picture as they were photographed from an airplane by one of the staff. The Bureau is located just north of Cleveland Park, a few hundred yards from the home of President Gompers. It occupied two buildings on this side between 1904 and 1910, since which is growth has been rapid and now there are about a dozen buildings, the last and largest of which is only recently completed."
