English: A menologium is collection of information organized by the days of the month. Subcategories include Roman menologia, used for farming; an Old English poem on the Julian calendar and liturgical year; Eastern Orthodox menologia, used for their liturgy (menaia), saints' lives (synaxaria), and icons displaying the saints of a month; and Roman Catholic menologia, used by religious orders to informally commemorate their members not recognized as saints.
