V4 and V5 engine numbers accoring to Orsini and Zagara:[1]

V4 is 2 x Tipo 26B engines in 12.5 degree V, 4 litres, 280 bhp:

• 1929 V4 s/n 4001: Racecar, Alfieri set lap record at Monza (lasted until 1954). Borzacchini set 10 km record at Cremona. May have been rebuilt into the s/n 4002...
• 1931 V4 s/n 4002: Racecar (maybe based on a restamped 4001...). Galeazzi of Rome raced it, had Zagato make it a pretty green roadster. Erick Verkade (Holland) owned it during WW II, sold it to John Howell (UK) who hardly drove it,[2] it reappeared in the 1980s and was restored to green by Adolfo Brener (late 1990s), then sold to Lawrence Auriana.
• 1990? V4 s/n 4001.AH is replica V16 by Anthony Hartley[3] Some V5 parts

V5 is 2 x Tipo 26M engines. 4.9 litres, 330–360 bhp.

• 1932 V5 s/n 5001. Won Rome GP. Amando Ruggeri died in it at Montlhéry on 7 December 1932. Piero Taruffi crashed it badly at Tripoli GP (maybe they scrapped it). Nuvolari Did Not Appear with a V5 in same race. [4]
• 1933 V5 s/n 5002. Boat engine, Theo Rossi di Montelera.
• 1933 V5 s/n 5003. Ditto for Rossi i Montelera.
• 1990? V5 in Bonfanti museum, Verona. Replica of the s/n 5001 that Taruffi crashed in Tripoli.
